How to understand a bill for insurance claim?
Q. I don't understand all of the bills I've been receiving. The medical terms are confusing and I don't know what procedures actually have been completed on my child. How can I better understand my hospital bills?
Asked by Claud - Thu Oct 1 15:16:00 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. For outpatient procedures, you should receive a detailed bill with brief description of the test, procedure or service performed. It is important to note that you will receive a bill for each date of service. So, if you were at the hospital on two different days, you'll receive at least two bills.

Q. A team line ManU for example plays in leage, out of league, international...etc and they play for the several different championships as a team, then their players also play on national teams in different tournaments...any ideas what I can get a full understanding of whats going on? I like the game but want to learn more about the big picture.

A. 1) Manchester United is part of the EPL, along with 19 other clubs. These 20 clubs compete from August to May for the EPL trophy. 2) The EPL is the top league in England followed by the Championship, League one, and League two. Some clubs can be relegated and promoted between these leagues every season. 3) Aside from the competitions within each level, there are also competitions that involve clubs in different levels. The FA cup and Carling cup allow English clubs from different leagues to compete against each other. The Community Shield is a match between the previous season's EPL champion and FA cup champion. 4) There are 6 confederations in the world (listed below). How does spirituality help people understand the universe in which we live?
Q. I don t think it does at all; I think spirituality is really just a coping mechanism that people have invented and that is not based on any evidence or rational thought process. Spirituality is the sand in which people stick their heads like ostriches when the truth gets too hard for them to accept. But religious people (especially Catholics for some reason) keep telling me that science and spirituality are two methods of understanding the universe. How can imaginary nonsense help people understand the universe?
Asked by Desiree - Sun Sep 27 21:11:53 2009 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It won't help you obviously but for those of us who believe it helps a lot. Knowing the creation teaches us about the Creator, and knowing the Creator tells us a lot about His creation. Maybe it is you who have your head stuck in the sand. Think about it.

A. Does he have a favourite type of toy i.e cars or lego etc. Use these types of things so it doesn't seem like work to him and try to do it in an informal way, so he doesn't realise he's doing schoolwork. Get a pile of cars or sweets etc and put say 3 down and ask him to count them, then add 2 more and ask him to count again, then repeat 'so we had 3 cars and 2 more came along and then we had 5 cars' 'so 3 cars add 2 cars is 5 cars' '3 add 2 is 5'. Try to make it a game. Also try playing 'shop' with him. Try to keep upbeat and smiley whilst doing it and maybe use rewards as well. With sweets or foodstuffs you can do the 'take away'. Put out a plate with food on it, grapes are a good one, but whatever he likes to eat. Say to him look you… [cont.]

When you use DidTheyReadIt, e-mails that you send are automatically and invisibly tracked without alerting the recipient. The instant the recipient opens your message, DidTheyReadIt automatically notifies you. When they read your message, you will immediately receive the following information: 1. When, exactly, your email was opened. 2. How long your email remained opened. 3. Where, geographically, your email was viewed. You can get a free trial here. A. Try any or all of these steps: Write and or balance any chemical equation. Next, convert any given value(s) such as mass, volume of a gas, or number of particles to moles. Then, find the stoichiometric ratio between moles of given substances and moles of required substances (Use the ratio of the coefficients in the balanced equation.) Then convert from moles to the required quantity.

Asked by Richard - Fri Nov 7 21:38:44 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I think this gives a good explanation of the definition of the various track conditions: That said, it's important to note that because there is no standard for track composition in terms of sand, silt, clay, loam, organic matter, and every track is different, each track plays differently. To cite one example, the track at Aqueduct has a high sand content because the dates run at Aqueduct are typically the wettest times of the year. So the track superintendent finds it beneficial to have a lot of sand in the track to assure fast drainage. The result is that when there has been a lot of rain, the main track at Aqueduct can be like a wet beach-- it packs down and gets harder. You may get faster times on such a track than when the… [cont.]

A. Hi, response to your question, even in this educatin 21st century there are wise fools, even if we try telling them the difference with different aspects and examples, things wont change so let the wise fools remain what they are and a smart person like you keep moving knowing the fact, tell the difference to those who are willing to understand, and most importantly willing to hear, its fruitless and useless wasting precious energy telling someone who is neither interested in hearing or understanding. How can I better understand and communicate with my cat?

Asked by Windir - Sun Mar 9 16:04:19 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. In cat body language, staring is seen as a threat or a challenge, so to send a friendly signal to your cat, blink your eyes slowly twice and then look away. Yawning is also something else cats do to show that they are feeling relaxed in your company. They can send at least 12 different messages with their tails. For example, when they carry it straight up like a flag pole, it means they are happy. Something that cats and humans have in common, is the use of higher pitched tones to indicate friendliness/pleasure and lower tones for disapproval. The Messy Beast web site is a really good one for learning about cat behaviour. You'll find lots of information on understanding your cat's body language, vocal communications, emotions etc. … [cont.]

A. You should invest in a diversified mix of stocks, bonds, and money market funds. You want to buy a diversified portfolio of stocks as individual stocks are too risky. Most folks have a dificult time buying a properly balanced portfoilio of stocks on their own. They will misbalance their portfolio by buying all small stocks or all growth stocks, or some other misbalanced assortment of stocks. Unless you know what you are doing, it is best to buy mutual funds. I like Vanguard.com, other people like Fidelity, TIAA-CREF, and DFA. Buy no-load, low cost funds. If you are like most people you will invest part of your money aggressively in stock funds, and part conservatively in money market funds and bond funds. Vanguard.com has an on-line… [cont.]

A. I don't recommend the process of chasing the keywords with Adsense and thinking that creating a site around these high paying keywords will result in high Adsense earnings. Often, they only end up disappointed -- just like hundreds of publishers who went and created a site around the famous "M" word or "mesothelioma" -- when it was reported that Adwords advertisers were paying $110+ per click for this keyword. So websites focusing on the M keyword popped out of the Web. And what was the comment of these Adsense publishers hoping to cash in with this high paying keyword? That they can't even get more than $1 per click for the keyword -- definitely not the $110 or even $50 per click keyword that they were hoping for. Why? Because Google… [cont.]

How do you help people understand that adopting is better then breeding/buying?
Q. Some people seem so set on this. It's frustrating working in shelters, and seeing dogs come and go. Their are an estimated 400 million stray dogs alone in this world (not to mention cats, and other animals). Why are people so fixated on breeding, buying from pet stores, or back yard breeders? There are dogs of all ages, puppies to adults, mixed to pure breeds. But instead at Christmas everyone goes and buys a puppy. Not to mention the shelters that are overwhelmed with 8 month dogs in spring. There are shelters everywhere that are good, some are pounds and put the dogs to sleep after 72 hours. A. I was a breeder and exhibitor of purebred dogs. My dogs were in conformation, obedience and herding trials. As a breeder, I thoroughly knew the breed I was working with, my puppies were sold only to approved homes, on contracts and I knew where each and every one of them was. If a puppy, for whatever reason, didn't work out in the home it was in, I took it back. I love purebreds for many reasons, chiefly that I like to be able to do things with my dogs in various competitions. It's a recreation and much more. I am in no way responsible for the amazingly large amount of idiots who breed their dogs - mutts or pet quality pure breds, and flood shelters with unwanted dogs. A. You won't have trouble as long as you should be in the 3rd year class. For example, when I was a freshman, I took the Spanish placement test, which did not test listening or speaking. I could read and write at the 4th year level, but I could not speak it or understand it well at all... and I should not have been in the class. As long as you are on par with the 3rd level, you will do fine!
