A. There are many government grants published on a regular basis for just this very kind of thing. You need to find someone experienced in searching for them and writing grant proposals to donate their time and efforts to your cause. In the meantime, talk to the county you're in about programs they have. Write letters to large corporations like Wal-Mart and other industries in neighboring areas. They usually have budgets set aside for community activism.

A. As well as the usual fundraisers try approaching the local businesses for a donation. I would write a letter in the first instance and then follow up with a phone call about a week later, youhave to be committed to get the money. I would also enlist the help of the local paper and see what donations you get froma story written in the local paper, especially mentioning that you are enlisting the help of local businesses :-) good luck!

What can you do with a bachelor's degree(Career) in Recreation?
Q. I'm thinking about getting a degree in recreation. I love doing things outdoors (hiking, biking, running, etc..) Are there any good jobs out there with that I can get with that kind of degree? Can I get a job outdoors that makes at least a decent amount of money? Is there tough competitetion in this field? Thanks for any help.
Asked by runningirl1987 - Mon May 15 21:13:30 2006 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I think you'll have a hard time finding a job with a degree that has "Recreation" in the title. I just doubt it will carry much weight. If you're an outdoors guy, perhaps that should be the focus (as opposed to the activities you do outdoors). There are lots of outdoorsy jobs, such as Land Resources, Forestry, Fish & Wildlife Management, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), etc. I'm not sure how much they pay, but I know the government hires a lot of folks with these degrees to work in National Parks, so I'm guessing it's probably not too bad.

Why is the recreation of extinct animals bad?
Q. I have to write an essay on the recreation of extinct species. I play the role of a victim and I have to provide three points on why it is bad. any answers?
Asked by Dora - Sun Apr 23 15:38:37 2006 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Extinct species, if not extinct by human activity (shooting them, cutting their forests down, etc.), have extinct for a reason - they did not fit well to the enviournment. Recreation of such species may destabilize the delicate balance of nature. Moreover, any human interferance with nature, whether trying to do good or bad, can only harm it. There are two (1.5) reasons. I think you can start with these, and probably the rest will come to mind after writing this. If not, I believe that other people will have further ideas. Good luck!

A. In the sense you wish, it means to "conjure up", to "simulate", to build where you wish to have something that was already built somewhere else. Movies recreate scenes in places different from places they represent. E.g. "sphaghetti Westerns" were recreated in Spain.

A. That's a user selected gamer zone. Quote from x-box official website: "Gamer Zone Your Gamer Zone is something you select yourself. Your initial choices fall into four categories: the Recreation zone, where casual gamers thrive; the Family zone, where parents and younger gamers alike can enjoy family-friendly gaming; the Pro zone, a place for hardcore gamers who don't want to deal with lame griefers; and the Underground zone, where anything goes (and where Family zone gamers probably don't want to go, if you catch my drift)." So basically you pick who and what type of people you will be matched up with.

Q. I was searching in the internet and read about the Precious Moments Park located in Missuri. It sounds as a great way to spend a good time with the family. Because of this, is that I started wondering if there are other paces such as this one here in the U.S. We are already planning to visit the Precious Moment Chapel this spring! We want to go to a place where we can appreciate christian related activities! (FYI: I am not interested in summer camps in particular)

A. Not exactly what you're after, but I suspect Dollywood would be up your alley- its family oriented and rooted in 'traditional' values. A better idea would be to go to our wonderful National parks and appreciate the world's beauty. Your family can have what ever devotional activities you feel appropriate to the moment, and it will be a much more genuine experience than going to what amounts to an amusement park.
