Supranationalism is a method of decision-making in multi-national political communities, wherein power is transferred or delegated to an authority by governments of member states. The concept of supranational union is sometimes used to describe the European Union, as a new type of political entity. The EU is the only entity which provides for international popular elections, going beyond the level of political integration normally afforded by international treaty. The term "supranational" is sometimes used in a loose, undefined sense in other contexts, sometimes as a substitute for international, transnational or global. Another method of decision-making in international organizations is intergovernmentalism, in which state governments play a more prominent role. From Wikipedia under the

Or will Americans eventually be using "united future world currency" as well?? July 10 (Bloomberg) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev illustrated his call for a supranational currency to replace the dollar by pulling from his pocket a sample coin of a united future world currency. Here it is, Medvedev told reporters today in L Aquila, Italy, after a summit of the Group of Eight nations. You can see it and touch it. The coin, which bears the words unity in diversity, was minted in Belgium and presented to the heads of G-8 delegations, Medvedev said. The question of a supranational currency concerns everyone now, even the mints, Medvedev said. The test coin means they re getting ready. They haven't got the juice to pull off something like this. The Chinese could conceivably do it, but since it would devalue their voluminous holding of US dollars, it's unlikely they'll do it either. The US economy, for all its present troubles, remains the largest market in the world, and as such, its currency will remain sought after. To replace it, all the countries of the world would have to agree on something else, and there's nothing else available. It also takes a long time to establish a new standard. Look how long it took the Euro to become accepted, and it still faces resistance in some quarters (Great Britain for example). Answered by pissedoffbastard13 - Mon Jul 13 15:41:40 2009 Did you know that the U.S. Constitution...?
Q. ...is just a conspiracy theory? That's right, the Constitution is a myth, and that myth has been debunked. There's no such thing. It's just a fantasy cooked up by tinfoil-hat-wearing conspiracy theorists. So there's nothing to worry about. Also, Bush is a conservative, the Patriot act is intended to protect us from terror, there's no such thing as the Council on Foreign Relations, fluoride and mercury are good for your brain, and the Presidential elections are 100% legitimate. Corporations are trustworthy, the Federal Reserve is part of the government, and globalists just want to help us. America is still a free republic whose government is answerable to the people. If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom; and the irony of it is that if it is comfort or money that it values more, it will lose that too. - Somerset Maugham I think that pretty much sums it up. We have all lost track of what the American Dream once was. We exchanged liberty for a substandard townhouse in the suburbs, complete with a sub-prime mortgage, and then we wonder why the country is in the soup. Look not to blame a president, or a lobbyist, or some crack-pot conspiracy theory. You want to know who did this to America? Look in the mirror, and analyze what freedom really means to you.
